Common problems
Nothing rang. The tools on this site ring only while their tab is open and the computer is awake. A computer that sleeps rings when it wakes. Check that the tab is still open and the sound isn’t muted, in the system or on the tab (right-click the tab).
It rings, but no notification pops up. Allow notifications for this site, and check your system’s notification settings and Do Not Disturb or Focus. Chrome notifications not showing goes through it step by step.
There’s no sound. Browsers play sound only after you’ve clicked something on the page. Click anywhere on it once after opening or reloading it.
My reminders are gone. They are kept in the browser you set them in. A private window, clearing the site’s data, or another browser or computer won’t have them.
The extension doesn’t show its notifications. Reminder App sends a test notification from its welcome page and from Settings › Alerts › Troubleshooting, and lists what to change for your system. It can also show reminders in a window of its own: Settings › Alerts › Show reminders in a window.
About the extension
Reminder App is a free Chrome extension for reminders in Chrome’s side panel. They ring with a notification and a sound whenever Chrome is running, and sync to your other computers through your Chrome account. It works in Chrome on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebooks.
