This policy covers the website reminder.page and its tools: the online reminder, alarm clock, timers, repeating reminders, the 20-20-20 timer, the water calculator, the countdowns, the full moon calendar, and the feedback pages. The Reminder App extension for Chrome has its own privacy policy, linked from its page in the Chrome Web Store.
What you set stays in your browser
The tools run in your browser. Reminders, alarms and timers you set, with their names, times and sounds, are kept in this browser’s local storage on your device, so a reload keeps them. Your choices, such as the sound and its volume, are kept there too. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. Delete a reminder in the list beside a tool, or clear this site’s data in your browser to remove everything.
The sounds are made by your browser. A countdown’s link holds the date, time and name you typed, so whoever you share it with sees them. “Add to calendar” files are made in your browser and saved on your device.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the tools show your reminders as system notifications while the page is open. Your browser asks first, and you can withdraw that permission in its site settings at any time. Notifications are shown by your browser and system; nothing about them is sent to us.
What our hosting provider sees
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the technical details of each request (such as your IP address, browser and the page requested) to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We don’t use cookies, ads or an analytics script.
Links to the Chrome Web Store
Buttons that lead to the extension’s page in the Chrome Web Store add tags to the link (utm_source, utm_medium and
utm_campaign) that tell us which page of this site the visit came from. The Chrome Web Store is run by Google under
Google’s privacy policy.
Feedback, and the page shown after removing the extension
Two pages of this site take feedback on the extension: Send feedback, and the page shown after you remove Reminder App, once the extension links to it. They send what is listed below to our feedback form, which runs on Google Forms under Google’s privacy policy:
- Your answer: the reason you pick, and the text you type when you press Send.
- Technical details that the extension puts in the page’s link, if it opened the page: where it opened it from, its version, your browser and system with their versions, who installed it and roughly how long ago, rough counts of reminders and labels, how many computers use it, whether Chrome blocks its notifications, which features were used, how its introduction went, how full its storage is, and Chrome’s language. The details sit in the part of the link after #, which browsers don’t send to any server. The page sends only these lines; the time zone and other languages the extension may add are left out.
- The page itself: its address, and whether the answer went with Send or on leaving.
The page lists the technical details and its address, as they will be sent, under “Technical details sent with your answer”. Each visit sends this once: when you press Send, or when you leave or close the page after picking a reason. The page shown after removing the extension also sends the technical details once when you leave or close it, even if you don’t answer, so we can see when people leave. Text you type is sent only when you press Send, so please don’t type personal information you don’t want us to have. No name, email address, identifier, cookie or reminder is sent. As with any form, Google receives your IP address with the submission.
Children
The website’s tools collect no personal information from anyone, children included. The feedback pages send only what is described above.
Changes and contact
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Questions or requests: support@reminder.page. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, and keep them no longer than we need to.
